We went up to “Little Niagara Falls” in Strafford on Saturday to take advantage of the nicer weather we’ve started having. I brought my camera, some new lenses, and a tripod along to capture the falls. The weather was overcast and everything was flat, dull, and gray, so I took the opportunity to shoot in black and white. The images are actually in color since I shoot in RAW, but they were black and white on my camera and when I composed so I could get into the feel of it. I didn’t have endless creative energy at the time, so I didn’t hit the falls from every angle, but this was enough for my family not to kill me 🙂
I kept one image in color but “enhanced” it with a warmer white balance that was not at all present at the shoot. I like it because it gives it a bit of a magical look.
