The Dark Side of Flickr

I started using Flickr this weekend.  I was hoping that it could replace my gallery functionality and help show my photos to a larger audience.  I downloaded a WordPress plugin to show my Flickr photos and everything seemed to be working fine.  I uploaded a bunch of albums from my recent vacation (via Aperture) and all was good.. until I hit my limit.  I knew that there was a “pro” account that had more features, but I didn’t know why I would ever want one.  I found out: if I ever want to display more than 200 photos, it’s going to cost me $25 a year.  Not a terrible price, but still a lot more than FREE.  So I don’t think Flickr will be my gallery of choice.  Time to look into other options…
