We’ve had a lot of rain lately and the weather has just started to get better. There have been more and more beautiful days. On one such day last week we decided to take an evening trip to the beach. We were just planning to drive up to York and travel through, but I brought my camera just in case. Boy am I glad I did. We caught Long Sands at dawn and I was able to capture the beach and the waves as the light changed from a golden yellow to violet to deep purple. I hadn’t studied up on my landscape shots before I went, so some of the photos are not as sharp as I had wanted them (there was also a bit of mist), but I’m proud of them regardless.
All of these photos were taken with a tripod. I used a narrow aperture of f/11 – f/32 to increase detail as much as possible. The onlt thing that I didn’t do was manually focus to infinity. If I had, it may have resulted in sharper images.
